Today is January 14, 2013.
A few weeks ago, millions of people all over the world made all sorts of fitness-related resolutions that would start this year.
This day marks the second week of 2013. Sadly, of those millions of people who made resolutions to transform their bodies, only a small fraction of them have actually gotten out of their couches and acted upon their resolutions. They went to the gym on January 1st (granted they weren’t too hungover from the night before), maybe January 2nd, and maybe January 3rd. But by the time the 14th day of January came around, people are already dropping out.
The question now is why?
What happened to the drive, the motivation, the commitment? Some people want to work out because of a special event coming up like marriage, or because they want to have a beach bod for spring break or the summer. And there are also those who just want to look good and feel good in general because not once in their lives have they felt like that.
If you’re reading this and you still haven’t missed a work out day, props to you. Keep it up. Don’t lose sight of your goal.
But if you’re someone who is already slacking, let’s get to work! The clock is ticking.
Whatever it is you wanted to do, whether it’s to lose a couple pounds or 20, you’re setting yourself up for failure by missing a few workout days. Or by eating and drinking way more than you have planned. Think of all the days this year that you can be looking and feeling good. If you wait till later, you never know when that “later” might become next week. Or when that next week might become next month. Or when that next month might become next year.
Don’t let another year go to waste guys and gals. Get started NOW.
