You read that right.
There is no such thing as a “perfect” or “best” training routine/workout. A lot of people waste a ton of time trying to find the one perfect workout that will magically get them ripped quick and easy. Sorry guys and gals, but such workout does not exist.
Every workout routine affects each individual differently. Just because someone got bigger and stronger in a couple of months doing a particular workout doesn’t mean that it’s going to work the same for you. It all depends on your goals too. Someone trying to put on muscle might do a different style of training that someone who’s looking to lose weight. If there was such a thing as a perfect workout, everyone would be doing it and everyone would have six packs.
The reason why is because 80% of your results come from your diet. It’s as simple as that. But I won’t be going over that because that’s a whole different topic.
To figure out the “best” workout for you, experiment. Switch up the exercises and the volume of your workouts every few weeks or so. Never stick to a single routine that you’ll do all-year round. The number of sets and reps that you do also depend on the exercises (check out the beginner’s guide to working out to learn more). Get a plan going and see how it works for you and your body.
Next time someone asks you “hey, what’s the best workout that I can do to get to my goals faster?”, do me a favor and slap that person across the face. Ok maybe not. But kindly let him know that a magical workout that will get them a six pack instantly does not exist.
